The Toketee area is the site of Toketee Falls,Toketee Campground, Umpqua Hot Springs and Toketee Ranger Station. The area’s fiery volcanic past is evident in its dramatic landscape. Towering waterfalls, a hot springs and jagged rock outcrops make this area unique. A .4 mile hiking trail winding through a narrow gorge accesses Toketee Falls which is a double waterfall that tiers from one 40 foot fall to another 80 foot drop over a sheer wall of basalt.
“Toketee” means “pretty” or “graceful” in the Chinook Indian language, an apt name for this inspiring waterfall.
